In this week’s browser “theme of the week” showcase, we highlight the “Froggy Firefox” theme from theme designer, Madonna. This light-hearted and whimsical theme features the official Mozilla Firefox logo with a frog sticking its head out from behind the logo. It’s almost as if the frog was in the logo and popped out from the center. Madonna has done a nice job of layering the theme with a lighter orange color on the background that helps to make the Firefox logo and the frog “pop” out a bit more. This is a fun theme for browser theme fans and especially those who enjoy the brilliant work of the Mozilla Firefox browser.

We had an amazing week of fan-submitted browser themes last week with many of the top designers submitting new work. One of the top Firefox Persona designers in the World returned to create this masterpiece of a theme called the “Funny Frog” theme. Theme designer “Gambat” included the image of what looks to be a similar frog to the Geico commercials, against the backdrop of a “cartoon-ish” summer day. The frog is perched up towards the center of the theme hopping up from the bright green grass on a beautiful summer day. This is a very timely design as the Official days of summer are near and we’ll start to see more “funny frogs” as the season goes on. Nice work from Gambat on creating the “Funny Frog” browser theme for Firefox and Internet Explorer. There are many other amazing themes from last week. Let’s take a look:

If one thing is certain in this world, it is that people will revolt against any sort of restriction against individuality. And when it comes to the design of iPhones, iPads and other Apple products, there isn’t much opportunity to truly express oneself with a unique look, other than basic wallpaper.
That is, unless you jailbreak your device.
Apple had to see this coming. Who thought that simply customizing a wallpaper background would be enough for those of us who thrive on individuality and a complete overhaul of the designs in our lives?
Anyway…let’s first look at what iOS themes are, and then we can dive into how to get them onto your device in a matter of minutes.

It’s a great time to be a zombie.
Whether it’s film, television or print, zombies have found their way into every aspect of pop culture. Their influence ranges from the popular comic/TV series “The Walking Dead” to “World War Z”, the best-selling book that has now been turned into a summer blockbuster movie starring Brad Pitt.
There is really no shortage of zombies these days, so what is it that draws people to the world of zombies and, subsequently, the world of zombie browser themes?
As is the case with many aspects of pop culture, we like being transported to other realities and settings that may not be possible in our own world. Something about the dystopian, hopeless and horrifying world of a zombie plague really gets our hearts racing.
It should come as no surprise, then, that there are so many different kinds of zombie browser themes available, or that they’re so popular. People really cannot get enough of these rotting, flesh-eating beasts.
We’ve included some of our favorite zombie Chrome and Firefox themes for you below, and judging by the variety, it’s certainly obvious just how popular they truly are.

Games are one of the few things that truly unify all of us. Whenever we’re bored or simply looking for a break from work, everyone has played some sort of game to fill the time.

No matter what browser you use, there is an endless amount of free web browser games at your disposal, though if you like your games with a lot of depth, you can certainly find others that will accept a little bit of money in exchange for that (though some even offer all of that great gameplay for free too).
From full-scale RPGs to (seemingly) simple games that help you pass the time, there are browser games that fit everybody’s interests. Immerse yourself in an entire world and get caught up in a true online community, or maybe just fling birds at some green pigs. Every kind of game awaits you.

Like most browser updates, the release of Chrome 27 comes with a host of new features and improvements. Most notable is the five percent increase in the speed of page loads. For a browser that already loads its pages fast, this is just icing on the cake.
Google attributes the speed increase to “smarter behind-the-scenes resource scheduling,” and The Next Web says that “the scheduler more aggressively uses an idle connection and demotes the priority of preloaded resources so that they don’t interfere with critical assets.”
Another big Chrome 27 development is the introduction of the Sync FileSystem API, which will automatically synchronize and save stored data among clients through Google Drive. Improved prediction-ranking and spell correction, along with improvements to Omnibox, round out the major enhancements to Chrome 27.
