OMG! Pop Culture Theme Contest Finalists are Here! by

The Judges Have Spoken

The finalists of Brand Thunder’s Pop Culture Theme Contest have emerged. After many hours of debate and many libations… I mean, much deliberation we finally got some responses that were vaguely intelligible and could use.

Below you’ll find the three semi-finalist themes that our mystery judges decided on as worthy contenders for the Most Popular Theme category. To help choose the ultimate winner, go to our poll on Facebook and cast your ballot! You’ve been hearing this a lot lately, but your vote counts – so do your civic duty now. You have until Thursday, November 8, to vote for your favorite of the three themes below.

The winner of the Judges choice and Best Design will be announced on Monday, November 5. We probably could have had that announcement today, but our friends from the TV industry said it was good for the ratings if we had a cliff hanger and got people to tune in next week. 4AM at Denny’s is no place to discuss the differences between the Internet and broadcast television – so Monday it is.

Internet Explorer is still king when it comes to market share for the web browser, but Firefox and Chrome continue to gain overall on IE. With IE9, Microsoft released a much faster browser and some say more secure than even Chrome or Firefox.

Here at Brand Thunder, we have been creating IE themes for years and IE 9 is no exception.

South Carolina Gamecocks Browser Theme Goes Live by

South Carolina Gamecocks Browser Theme

Put on your Garnet and Black, but this time put it on your browser.  The Gamecocks browser theme is here.  Think of it as a new media tradition for USC.  And some day, in the not so distant future, you’ll reminisce about the good old days in Columbia when Cocky was your roommate, “The Fighting Gamecocks Lead the Way” was your favorite song, the Cockaboose was where you found yourself every Saturday prior to kickoff and then you’ll think of that remarkable day when you downloaded that free browser theme.

OK, maybe my sentiments are a little skewed.  But, there’s no mistake.  If you’re a student, alum, or just a fan of the Gamecocks, you owe it to yourself to check out the South Carolina Gamecocks Brower Themes – they’re built for both Firefox and IE.
