In this week’s browser “theme of the week” showcase, we highlight the “Froggy Firefox” theme from theme designer, Madonna. This light-hearted and whimsical theme features the official Mozilla Firefox logo with a frog sticking its head out from behind the logo. It’s almost as if the frog was in the logo and popped out from the center. Madonna has done a nice job of layering the theme with a lighter orange color on the background that helps to make the Firefox logo and the frog “pop” out a bit more. This is a fun theme for browser theme fans and especially those who enjoy the brilliant work of the Mozilla Firefox browser.

We had an amazing week of fan-submitted browser themes last week with many of the top designers submitting new work. One of the top Firefox Persona designers in the World returned to create this masterpiece of a theme called the “Funny Frog” theme. Theme designer “Gambat” included the image of what looks to be a similar frog to the Geico commercials, against the backdrop of a “cartoon-ish” summer day. The frog is perched up towards the center of the theme hopping up from the bright green grass on a beautiful summer day. This is a very timely design as the Official days of summer are near and we’ll start to see more “funny frogs” as the season goes on. Nice work from Gambat on creating the “Funny Frog” browser theme for Firefox and Internet Explorer. There are many other amazing themes from last week. Let’s take a look:
Firefox Persona and browser theme designer Madonna returns this week with a number of beautiful browser themes including this gem of a theme with Hepatica Blues. Madonna has created hundreds and hundreds of amazing designs over the years and Hepatica Blues is a brilliant design for the beginning of Summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. Madonna arranges a dark blue and purple assortment of daisies to provide a stunning backdrop for any Firefox or Internet Explorer theme lover. She uses the out of focus versions of the Hepatica in the background to provide a nice contrast to the flowers in the foreground that are in focus. It’s just the right balance of color and imagery to provide a simply beautiful theme for your browser. Here is the Hepatica Blues browser theme for Firefox and Internet Explorer:
This week’s Firefox and Internet Explorer “Theme of the Week” comes from theme designer “Gambat” and his Amazing Butterfly browser theme. This fantasy inspired theme showcases a brilliant mix of colors and graphics with the “amazing butterfly” right in the center of the browser theme. The yellow-ish butterfly flaps its wings in a seemingly fantasy world of beauty. The darker greens, grays, and blues provide a nice backdrop to the brighter yellow butterfly. Fans of nature, butterflies and just great design will love this “amazing butterfly” theme for their browser. Get it here:
This week’s browser “Theme of the Week” comes from theme designer “Gambat” and his Dolphin browser theme creation. Gambat dresses up the browser with an image of a Dolphin jumping out of the water into the air and on its way into the water once again. The scene is in the evening as the sun is starting to set in the background with a orange-ish hue to the evening sky. Some high almost cumulonimbus clouds grace the sky as if to infer an evening storm approaching. This is a great theme for animal lovers and those wanting to spice up their Firefox or Internet Explorer browsers with a professional looking browser theme. Nice work Gambat! In addition to the Dolphin browser theme, we have listed some of the other top themes of the week including several that hint at the upcoming Summer season!

This week’s browser “theme of the week” comes from Firefox Persona designer “Madonna” and her Bird on a Sunflower Firefox and Internet Explorer theme. We know from browser theme design that designing on top of a browser can provide some challenges in terms of where graphics and images are located. For example, depending on where you put your main graphics or logos, the images may get blocked by the URL bar, search bar or other browser features. Madonna is an experienced browser theme designer and it shows with this week’s creation. The bird is perched atop a beautifully bloomed Sunflower which is aligned towards the very right hand side of the theme. The greenish faux finish background provides a nice soothing background that livens up your browser but doesn’t distract much from the rest of the theme. The background actually helps to compliment the Sunflower image on the right hand side of the browser. Subtle simplicity is the key in much of browser theme design and Madonna has done this beautifully.

It’s only apropos that one week before the day we give thanks to our Mothers for Mother’s Day, the Mother’s Day Card Browser Theme is our browser “theme of the week”. This theme was created by Firefox Persona designer, Madonna, perhaps a mother herself? The theme evokes memories of year’s past with a vintage style hand-written card (can you believe people actually wrote letters :), along with some Spring flowers surrounding the card. A gentle mother’s hand reaches for the card, likely from one of her children. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mother’s around the world. We wouldn’t be here without you!

The NHL playoffs are, by far, the best playoffs of any major sport. Unlike any other sport, an eight-seed has just as good a chance to win the Stanley Cup as a No. 1 seed. Solid goal-tending and a suffocating defense make all the difference in the NHL playoffs and a team hot in those areas can easily go on a championship run, no matter where it is seeded.
That’s why if your team is in the playoffs, you can never take a game off as a fan, even in the first round. It’s a constant slog, which only makes the Cup victory that much sweeter. So who is going to win it all this year?
Here’s a look at Brand Thunder’s 2013 playoff-bound NHL browser themes (which offer direct access to team sites, social media channels, news, features and more):
