Like most browser updates, the release of Chrome 27 comes with a host of new features and improvements. Most notable is the five percent increase in the speed of page loads. For a browser that already loads its pages fast, this is just icing on the cake.
Google attributes the speed increase to “smarter behind-the-scenes resource scheduling,” and The Next Web says that “the scheduler more aggressively uses an idle connection and demotes the priority of preloaded resources so that they don’t interfere with critical assets.”
Another big Chrome 27 development is the introduction of the Sync FileSystem API, which will automatically synchronize and save stored data among clients through Google Drive. Improved prediction-ranking and spell correction, along with improvements to Omnibox, round out the major enhancements to Chrome 27.

Let’s say you have opened your Chrome browser and it’s gone. Your favorite theme is suddenly missing, nowhere to be found.
While that may make you want to freak out and panic over its absence, there is no need to throw yourself into an uncontrollable fit of anger. Having problems with Chrome isn’t fun, but this is an easy fix.
It all stems from the release of Chrome 25, which essentially got rid of any extensions that weren’t directly downloaded from the Chrome Web Store. While this is a frustrating development, Google’s intentions were good. In the effort to increase security, Google recognized that malware and other malicious software can be passed through other extensions and have attempted to monitor that more closely.
Unfortunately, this move has affected trustworthy providers of Chrome themes, like Brand Thunder. Not to mention it inconveniences millions of users who suddenly lose extensions without warning.

We all love Facebook, but sometimes, many people feel as though the company is not introducing new features as quickly as we would like (or simply ignoring some of them altogether). This week’s browser “Theme of the Week” comes from theme designer “Gambat” and his Dolphin browser theme creation. Gambat dresses up the browser with an image of a Dolphin jumping out of the water into the air and on its way into the water once again. The scene is in the evening as the sun is starting to set in the background with a orange-ish hue to the evening sky. Some high almost cumulonimbus clouds grace the sky as if to infer an evening storm approaching. This is a great theme for animal lovers and those wanting to spice up their Firefox or Internet Explorer browsers with a professional looking browser theme. Nice work Gambat! In addition to the Dolphin browser theme, we have listed some of the other top themes of the week including several that hint at the upcoming Summer season!

This week’s browser “theme of the week” comes from Firefox Persona designer “Madonna” and her Bird on a Sunflower Firefox and Internet Explorer theme. We know from browser theme design that designing on top of a browser can provide some challenges in terms of where graphics and images are located. For example, depending on where you put your main graphics or logos, the images may get blocked by the URL bar, search bar or other browser features. Madonna is an experienced browser theme designer and it shows with this week’s creation. The bird is perched atop a beautifully bloomed Sunflower which is aligned towards the very right hand side of the theme. The greenish faux finish background provides a nice soothing background that livens up your browser but doesn’t distract much from the rest of the theme. The background actually helps to compliment the Sunflower image on the right hand side of the browser. Subtle simplicity is the key in much of browser theme design and Madonna has done this beautifully.

It’s only apropos that one week before the day we give thanks to our Mothers for Mother’s Day, the Mother’s Day Card Browser Theme is our browser “theme of the week”. This theme was created by Firefox Persona designer, Madonna, perhaps a mother herself? The theme evokes memories of year’s past with a vintage style hand-written card (can you believe people actually wrote letters :), along with some Spring flowers surrounding the card. A gentle mother’s hand reaches for the card, likely from one of her children. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mother’s around the world. We wouldn’t be here without you!
