As always, there is a ton going on in the world of Google Chrome. From updates on the browser itself to the introduction of the newest Chromebooks, there is never a dull moment for Chrome. To help keep it all straight, we’ve put together a few of the biggest things happening with the browser this month.
Download a MLB Chrome Theme
While you’re checking out all of the latest news regarding Google Chrome, why not do it with a new-look browser? And since baseball season is right around the corner, now is the best time to get yourself ready for the season with your favorite team’s official Chrome theme.
All 30 Major League Baseball teams are available – even the Astros!
Hands-Free Voice Search
If you like using the beta version of Chrome, then you’ll be happy to hear that a hands-free voice search feature has recently been added, though it is unknown as to when this feature will find itself in the official browser.
Of course, you can already get hands-free voice search in Chrome by installing this extension.
The New Chromebook 2
Samsung will be releasing two models of the updated Chromebook in April: one with the an 11.6-inch display (like the original) for $320 and one with a 13.3-inch screen for $400. If you already love the Chromebook or are looking to get acquainted with this product that continues to rise in popularity, you’ll want to check these out.
Want the Old Chrome New Tab Page Back?
Now you can have it! Well…sort of. There is an extension out there called New Tab Redirect and, once installed, it will show a list of your Chrome web apps whenever you open a new tab instead of the Google search bar that, you know, already exists in the top of the browser.
It’s not exactly like the old new tab page, but it’s certainly a worthy improvement over what we have now.
Trending Chrome Extensions
We’re in the Internet culture, which means we love convenience. Hover Free gives users exactly that, which makes it no surprise that it’s a trending Chrome extension. Hover Free allows you to enlarge thumbnails by simply mousing over the image. It’s completely free and works on more than 100 sites.
There are just way too many TV shows to keep track of, which might just make this Chrome extension the Holy Grail for those addicted to what they watch. SeriesGuide allows you to keep track of your progress in everything you watch, all with just a click of an icon in your browser. You’ll be able to browse through all of your favorite series, view their schedules and get additional series information.
