Is Apple’s Safari browser on the iPad a “pretty miserable experience” for you? If so, you’re not alone. In fact, you’re part of a growing number of people who are disenchanted with the fact that Safari is currently your only big-name browser option within the iPad.

This week’s browser “Theme of the Week” comes from Firefox persona designer “Madonna” with the theme she created called “Southwestern Sky”. Some of the most popular browser themes in our gallery are nature related and we would argue that some of the most popular wallpapers out there are nature-inspired photography and designs. There is something inspirational about having the beauty of nature on your desktop or browser to remind you how amazing the world around us is and what it can create naturally. The Web Browser is constantly evolving. Each major browser company (Google’s Chrome, Mozilla’s Firefox, and Internet Explorer) is frequently iterating new versions of their browser every few months. In fact, in the past year, the rate of updating to newer versions have increased at an ever increasing rate. Firefox seems to be on an almost month or bi-monthly update and Chrome is updating as fast as Netscape dropped off the market several years ago. It’s no surprise as users demand more features, more speed, more conveniences and other frills that help them to navigate the vast environment of the Interwebs. An average user is online over 5 hours a day and I would argue that some of you are online twice that amount. We want MORE from our browser, or some want less in terms of speeding up, but ultimately we are asking more of our browser and things that come along with it.

Congratulations to browser theme designer “Domino” for providing this week’s “Theme of the Week” for the throwback Super Mario Brother’s theme. We believe the theme is based off of the very first Super Mario Bros. game by Nintendo back in the mid 1980′s. We’re proud of our announced relationship with MLB.com, and we think fans will be excited about the newly available themes. As a result, we’ve been giving shout outs to baseball bloggers so they can weigh in and hopefully share with their readers.
We love the feedback we get and in whatever form it comes. This week we had a good dialogue with the folks over at Infieldfly.ca. There was concern over the warning that pops on Chrome when you install our theme on Chrome. It concerns us to, and Google will even admit it’s a little intimidating – but it’s an honest share of information. Google wants you to know this theme can see all the web pages you visit. It’s true we can, but we don’t.

Football is big in Texas. It’s the backdrop to Friday Night Lights. It was the driver behind the Longhorn Network. And it’s home to the Lone Star Football League.
