Buckeye Faithful Wins with OSU Browser Theme by

Martin (Sonny) Mendes winner

Buckeye Basketball Winner!

The Ohio State Buckeyes tipped off this year’s basketball tournament season by giving away a Thad Matta signed basketball to one lucky user of the official Buckeye browser theme. While the field was more crowded than 68 teams, we still emerged with one winner and Martin (Sonny) Mendes was the Buckeye fan who took home the prize!

“I received the basketball today and I am thrilled to get it. I enjoy the theme toolbar because I have instant access to all the OSU stories while it is always displayed on my Browser. Thanks again and GO BUCKEYES!,” Mendes said.

The Buckeyes Athletics department ran the contest as a reward to the loyal users of its browser theme.  A button appeared in user’s themes for approximately two weeks in March, presenting the opportunity to enter to win the Thad Matta autographed basketball. Fans who clicked on the button filled out a short entry form for their chance to win.

When Brand Thunder turned over the keys to browser theme builders with BT:Engage, we knew lots of different communities would be attracted to it. We recognize some of the best in our weekly browser theme of the week contest. Others seem to stand out when you look at the full collection of themes that are built and offered in Brand Thunder’s Theme Gallery. (You know you can publish the themes you build to Brand Thunder’s Gallery, right?)

The following represents some of the themes we’ve discovered in the gallery devoted to popular computer and video games. I’m not sure if these were created by gamers turned artists, or artists with an affinity toward games. All I know is some of these are pretty cool themes of upcoming, current and classic games.

Take a look and tell us your favorites in the comments.

This is great news for Firefox Theme users as any theme add-ons that you had installed on your Firefox browser can now be synced across all your computers in Firefox 11. Let’s say you had an amazing Neon Lights theme on your Firefox browser on your laptop but not on your home desktop. Now with Firefox 11, the software will now automatically download all add-ons tied to the account and automatically install the add-ons on both computers after you update on either one. Brilliant, and perfect for Firefox theme users and fans of new Firefox 11 themes. Here’s a list of some of our favorite new themes for Firefox 11:

Fishing for Water Lilies – Theme of the Week by

This week’s theme of the week comes again from Firefox theme and Persona designer, Madonna, and features a theme called “Fishing for Water Lilies”. This theme features a beautiful underwater scene with various species of fish swimming about along side some Spring Water Lilies. Madonna uses a nice palette of blues from deep dark blues in towards the middle of the theme and brilliant light blue colors and turquoise towards the edges of the theme. This helps accentuate the beautiful white lilies with orange and yellow-ish stigma. A beautiful browser theme to brighten up your Firefox or Internet Explorer browser.
