The NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs are in full swing and there have been some spectacular games in the Conference Quarterfinals. This is also the time where web apps see fans flock to their offerings. Pre-season is another time, but that’s when hopes are running high. In the post-season, it’s total smash mouth hockey and the winner takes all. So, with fan fervor running at a season high, now’s the time to get your browser skin on.

Ross Hollebon said it well calling out the Capitals tough skin – physical and digital. He acknowledges the Caps prowess on the ice and in the front office, both doing what they can to give the fans something to cheer about. Which makes you wonder about the teams only giving it half the effort.

So, here’s our list of the playoff teams that are giving the digital shout out to their fans, whether it’s a browser theme or a toolbar. For fans of the Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, Nashville Predators, New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning – there’s always next season.

For the teams really in it this season, here are the links you need.

Make sure you let the team know you want one. We have to work with them directly to get approval to build a theme.

Until an Official Tampa Bay Lightning theme can be released, you can now build your own theme at http://bt-engage.com. You’ll find helpful tips here at our blog, or just dive in and explore the product. It’s free to use – so have fun!
